Google's Gmail is the most popular email provider in the US, according to Statista, but perhaps you're looking for something new or want to delete an old Gmail account you no longer use.
If you don't want your Gmail address and emails anymore, you can remove them from your Google Account. Deleting them won't delete your entire Google Account. What happens when you delete your Gmail service. Your emails and mail settings will be deleted. You can no longer use your Gmail address to send or receive email. Click Gmail in the upper-left corner of the Gmail Web page, then Contacts from the pull-down menu. Start typing the name or address in the search field. When the unwanted address appears, select it. Desktop and mobile email programs often include other address lists that are specific to the program or combined address lists that span all of the accounts that the program touches. Removing a Gmail contact may or may not have any effect on contacts that are managed outside of Google's direct control. When I delete or edit a contact's email address, the old email address still shows up in the contact's info. The only thing I've been able to do so far is to delete the contact entirely and make a new one with the new email address.

Change or remove an email address. In Gmail, in the top-left corner, click on the dropdown arrow next to Gmail (for some, it may say Mail) and choose Contacts. Then click into the contact that you want to delete. You have a few options. Scroll down to the Download, delete, or make a plan for your data section and click Delete a service or your account. Click the link to Delete a service. Type in your account password for verification. Click the trash icon next to the Gmail option. Enter an alternate e-mail address (A) and click Send Verification Email (B).
